Nguzo Saba Schools is a Cambridge International school in Khayelitsha, blending the Cambridge curriculum with a Montessori-inspired, learner-centred approach — mornings for academic mastery, afternoons for music, robotics, agriculture and the arts.
Applications for the 2027 academic year close on 31 October 2026. Assessment visits run weekly until then — book yours before the cohort is full.

We were founded in 2023 on a simple conviction: a child in Khayelitsha deserves exactly the education a child in Constantia gets. Not a version of it. The same one.
So we teach the Cambridge International Curriculum, in small cohorts, with a whole-child model built on the seven Nguzo Saba principles.

FTC Robotics regional qualifier
The Nguzo Sabers competed in the FTC Decode Season regionals, demonstrating world-class engineering and programming, earning national recognition.
100% on-time promotion
Every enrolled learner was promoted on time in 2024 and 2025, measured against Cambridge stage expectations.
Music School concert
A full public concert across piano, drums, bass, vocals and boomwhackers, drawing community members from across Khayelitsha.
Teen Life Internship
Senior learners completed a paid community leadership programme — peer teaching, interview preparation and financial literacy.
First urban farm harvest
Our Agriculture programme brought in its first full harvest. Learners sold fresh produce at a community market.
Regional debate semi-finals
In their debut season, the Nguzo Saba debate team reached the regional semi-finals, praised for poise and research quality.

Fund a child's place at a school that counts
Nguzo Saba is a registered Public Benefit Organisation. Every donation is issued a Section 18A certificate, making it tax-deductible, and qualifies as socio-economic development spend.
