How fees are paid
All fees are paid by EFT, over 10 months. A R2,000 registration fee is payable on application.
What is not included
Scholar transport is not included in the fees. Cambridge IGCSE examination entries are billed separately at R2,000 per subject, shared with families on a performance-linked scale.

Common questions
What does it cost?
R1,200 a month (R12,000 a year) for every phase, from Early Years through to A Levels. All fees are paid by EFT over 10 months, and a R2,000 registration fee is payable on application.
Is transport included?
No. Scholar transport is not included in the monthly fee. We are happy to advise on transport arrangements and to connect families who share a route — talk to us when you visit.
Are bursaries and financial assistance available?
Yes. Financial circumstances should not prevent a capable child from attending Nguzo Saba. Message us on WhatsApp or email learn@nguzo.co.za to discuss your situation confidentially.
Do you accept mid-year applications?
Yes, where space permits. Applications for 2027 close on 31 October 2026. Contact learn@nguzo.co.za or WhatsApp us to check availability for your child's year group.
What language is the curriculum taught in?
All Cambridge subjects are taught in English. We provide additional language support for learners whose home language is isiXhosa or Afrikaans, and our staff speak isiXhosa — you are welcome to enquire in isiXhosa at any time.
How is Nguzo Saba different from a government school?
Three things: a globally recognised Cambridge qualification instead of a local-only one; small cohorts where every learner is known by name; and a timetabled afternoon programme of music, robotics, agriculture, debate and art that most schools treat as optional extras.
How big are the classes?
We cap the school at 80 learners across all phases and currently have 43 enrolled. Cohorts sit between 7 and 15 learners, which is why we can teach at each child's own pace.
