Children in Khayelitsha are not short of ability
They grow up amid violence and a fractured sense of home, yet the schools meant to steady them are too overcrowded to nurture, too narrow to prepare, and too thin to build resilience — leaving capable children underprepared for the futures they deserve.
Nguzo Saba was built as the answer to that sentence. A Cambridge International education, delivered in small cohorts, with meals, music, robotics and mentorship attached — in the community the children already come from.
We are not asking you to fund a good intention. We are asking you to fund a working school with published fees, an enforced fee policy, examination candidates, and a competitive robotics team.

An urban farm that sells
Our agriculture learners brought in a full harvest and sold produce at a community market — enterprise, not simulation.
First IGCSE candidates
Our senior cohort is entered for Cambridge IGCSE examinations — the first learners in the school's history to sit them.
A meal every day
Every learner eats. Attendance and concentration are not left to a household's worst month.
